I really don't know if you'll get a horse but here are some things to think about when owning a horse:
-They cost a lot of money (especially if your parents just bought a house and moved!)
-They are a lot of work (yes, you may think they're not as much work as everyone one thinks, but it's harder than it looks!)
-You have to take care of them no matter what (even in the rain, snow, cold, heat...)
-You can't leave them alone too long (they need a friend! It's best to get another horse for company)
So those are some thoughts that probably go through your parents' heads when thinking about owning a horse! Are you up for the challenge? :) (It gets easier after a while since you're used to all this...)

Utah is a good place for horses. :) by: DevynHooper
I used to live near Salt Lake City Utah. And I say its a great place to own a horse. Everyone has a horse there!... Well.. maybe not everyone, but a lot of people do. Also, there are a lot of stables there, I'm sure you could find a place for riding lessons. I took riding lessons a lot there. :)

Some advice... by: craycray4horsez
I have been wanting horses my entire life too, and all you need to do is sit down and talk. My mom and I had been looking at horses behind my dad's back, then one night I finally decided to show him some fairly priced ones and ask him if, since we live on a horse farm now, we could get one. He finally agreed to get one that doesn't cost thousands of dollars, which is often a quality horse, and that's how we got my 4-H horse, Charlie. I guess what I'm trying to say is, keep hoping. Talk to your parents professionally and show them some good choices not too far from where you'll live in Utah. Maybe take some horseback riding lessons to show them that you know what you're doing and that you'll be responsible. Got mine just last year when we moved onto this farm. I'm only twelve and I bought my own english saddle and tack, which shows how dedicated I am. Show them that you are too. Good luck!

It depends.. by: Horse lover
If you're moving to Riverton or Bluffdale you can probably get a horse, but if not... well it's not as likely.

What town or part of Utah are you moving to? I know a few people in Manti, Ephraim, and Venice Utah who have horses but I'm not sure about them selling any. You can go to Equinenow.com and put in all your search criteria to find a horse in Utah. Here I'll give you a link. http://www.equinenow.com/utah.htm
