Horse Board Games

One of my favorites! The Horse-Opoly board game is lots of fun. I spent many hours competing with my friends, and I am very competitive!

In this horse board game, you go around the board buying different horse breeds and building stables in order to try and win. On top of buying and building, in this board game there is also learning involved as you get to read fun horse facts throughout the game. It is recommended that this horse board game is played with 2-6 players and that players are ages 8 years old and up.

Herd Your Horses is a fun, interactive horse board game that has three different wild adventures for the player to play through. While going through each level, the players will learn all about different horse breeds.

Another exciting feature about this horse board game is that you as a player can either be a wild horse or a ranch hand. This game can have 2-4 players and is advertised for ages 8 years old and up. 

Horse Lover's Monopoly takes a classic game  and gives it a twist just for horse lovers. You've probably heard of the board game Monopoly. Well this version is all about horses. Instead of collecting properties in this game you collect different horse breeds.

Outside the fact that you acquire horses instead of properties, and the fact that the pieces are all horse-related, this game is basically played the way Monopoly is. That means it's fun and competitive. And a game can last a long time! 

The game is meant for 2-6 players and for those that are 8 years old and up.

Another game made for younger kids, this Mattel Spirit Untamed Hide & Seek Kids Game is a cute, straightforward horse board game. In the game, players are divided into hiders and seekers and the hiders have to hide the horse figurines under the buildings. Once the horses are hidden, the seekers then try to find the horses without finding Spirit.

One of the nice things about this game is that there isn't very many rules to remember so hopefully younger horse lovers will have a good time playing it. The game is meant for 2-5 players ages 5 years old and up.

Our Generation Giddy Up Game is another horse board game I recently learned of. This horse game is rather simple and straightforward and is intended for ages 6 years old and up and 3-4 players.

In this horse game, players vote on which of the four horses match the horse description that has been read, and those that vote on the same horse win points for that round. While the game may not have a ton of challenge, the beautiful horse pictures and fun horse descriptions can make the horse game fun for horsecrazy girls.

This could be fun for a horse-themed birthday party, especially if you made teams. 

Rodeo-Opoly definitely has a rodeo theme. Buy rodeo properties and trade them in for golden buckles. You can get bucked off and then you have to sit out for three turns (outch)! I could see this being popular with Western riders.

You can have 2-6 players ages 8 years old and up for this horse board game.

The Bella Sara Magical Adventure Board Game is a sweet, adventure-filled horse board game for younger girls. In the game, you ride through the countryside and jump over blocks to keep advancing. Included in this game are six toy horse playing pieces.

Unfortunately, this game doesn't appear to be available for purchase anymore although you may be able to find it on eBay or from another secondhand retailer. 

HorsePlay Adventure Game is a trivia game that unfortunately seems to have disappeared. I do think a horse trivia game would be a lot of fun and it would be a good way to learn about horses and ponies. Maybe we need to create one!

The Trail Ride board game looks like a wonderful horse board game from the creators of the horse board games Fantasy Ranch and Fantasy Stables. In the game, you collect horses while racing your friends to a camp spot! The Trail Ride horse board game is suitable for horse lovers 5 years old and up and you can play this game with 2-6 players.

This game seems to have disappeared. Let me know if you find it!

The horse board game Fantasy Stables allows players to collect horses, show horses, and learn about horses too! You start the game off with horses and cash, but you have to outbid your friends to keep adding to your stables! All the players can play together on most of the turns, so it's more exciting to play than many other board games. The best part is that unlike other horse board games this one is still available, and in fact there is a junior edition that is meant for younger kids! The regular edition of this horse board game is meant for 2-4 players ages 13 years old and up.

Unfortunately this game is currently listed as unavailable on Amazon. You may be able to find it second hand somewhere.
