Unicorn Twins

For a fun
easy horse Halloween costume idea this one is super cute. Here, Tara explains how she made it.

How did you come up with your costume idea? Nike is my unicorn, so it was an easy choice! We love color bright colors, and I think they just pop against his beautiful dark color. I was trying to think of the best way to dress him up, and then found these amazing hair extensions in the dollar store and knew what to do. Took way more than I expected! Originally I bought 20, and quickly realized this big guy would need way more! In the end he stood patiently while I clipped in more than 50 of these things to his hair l then topped it off with a horn headband. Naturally he needed to use his rainbow halter and lead rope to complete his look. The only thing missing was my outfit, which I found by accident while online shopping one night.

How did you make it?
Hair extensions from the dollar store and a headband for him, and a unicorn onesie for me.

Where did you wear it?
To our barn’s Halloween party.

How did people react?
Nike was the star of the show! Everyone was amazed by the beautiful unicorn, especially all of the kids.

How did your horse like it?
He loved it! He loves being the center of attention. He is also a very patient boy who went through many many costume trials this month. Such a good boy!
