Tampa Seahorse

This is one of the really beautiful horse costumes for Halloween submitted in our contest. Find out how Lacey made it.

How did you come up with your costume idea? My own creativity. Walking through stores and seeing what was available in my price range.

Shower curtain, then I cut out the waves from big card stock and added some paint and tissue paper to form waves. Then added the shark which is a huge piñata. Bought a mermaid costume at Walmart. Used my new horse, Donna, a Dutch Warmblood, who enjoyed eating grass outside of the paddock.

Just at Annwyn Equestrian Center in Tampa Florida.

How did people react?
They thought it was spectacular.

How did your horse like it?
She really was very chill and had no idea she was the center of attention. She just loved the fresh grass.
