Smoky the Cowhorse

This is one of my favorite books, and it moved me to tears at the end. When I closed the back cover, I leaned my forehead against it and cried . . . and cried . . . and cried . . . anyway...

It is a story of a foal, born on a shining March morning, and the tale of his life from his beginning to his almost tragic end. It is the story of a range horse, a cow horse, an outlaw, and a companion. It is a story of love and hate and love again.

It is a truly wonderful book by Will James, and I strongly recommend this stirring novel!
