In case anyone's thinking of trying this game, unfortunately, it's being shut down within the next few weeks (as of October 2020). There is a second and third version though, both of which are free and fun to play!

LOVE IT!

I am a faithful player of HI2. I play the Eternal and Life Cycle servers now although I used to just stay on Eternal. My username is Windie on Life Cycle.🙂 I am inactive on Eternal.

What I love most about HI2 Life Cycle is being able to breed my horses and have my own foals! I LOVE it. If you breed two horses that have good "stats" and personality, you'll most likely have a foal that has even better stats and personality. If the stats & personality is good enough, you'll be able to sell your horse for a pretty penny. The longer you play HI2, the more you'll find out for yourself.

My least favorite part is that your horses die after a few months. I really don't like that. It's sad. But, the good part of HI2 Life Cycle overpowers the bad. If you don't want your horses to die, then you can play Eternal. But if you want foals more than you DON'T want your horses to die, then you're like me and you'll like HI2 Life Cycle.

For the beginners: All I can say is that it really helps to ride the beaches and dig pirate treasures. A pirate treasure looks like a dark brownish X in the sand. They usually give you from $1,000 to $20,000. You can find pirate treasures on all the isles except for ranches which are totally different.

Also, if you want to have some money, you don't need to go spend it all on a lot of horses, items, etc... Here's my suggestions:
Buy 1 horse that you like for a decent price.
Buy tack that's called Cheap Tack. It costs the least.

Pick fruit off the trees to eat. You can buy water for a low price at some Inns.

Those are great ways for beginners to start piling money up.

It's best for the players who haven't been in the caves yet to ask a player who HAS and who knows their way around in there to come with them for the first time or so until they learn their way around. Caves are extremely easy to get lost in. I remember how it was. It's tricky for the newer players, so be careful or you may have trouble on your hands. 🙂 When you're in the caves, you'll want to open all the chests you find and mine all the crystals you see. They make excellent money.

To sell your items, always go to Narrowed Isle General Store for the best pay. They pay highest.

I love ALMOST everything about HI2. I would give it 1,000,000 stars if I could. It's a great game and super addictive. Contact me on HI2 if you want! I love adding buddies. My username (as I already said...) is Windie.

Horse Isle 2 is an amazing (and yes addictive) horse game. Not the greatest graphics but really realistic in all other aspects! StarShine is my name on Horse Isle 2, Life Cycle. This game deserves 5000/5 stars!!

People are very nice on here. I can't say for the mods because I have never encountered one online.

When I first started Hi1, I have had a few people offer me horses. Well, I declined. Fortunately, it was not hard for me to find a few horses but I may have been lucky.

Okay here are some tips if you play Hi1 and are new like me:

1. there is a treasure you can dig up south of the fountain in the plant patch in Eaton (I found this out from the shop guy so if he asks for $100 and you already found the fountain treasure don't pay if he still offers).

2. Buy horse tack with that money you got from the fountain (this is what I did) and the cheapest for me were the English bridle, saddle pad, and saddle. All were english.

3. Rent a horse from the pen place kinda northeast-ish in town.

4. Go to polar isle or whatever and do some ice caves. They were pretty easy for me and there are a couple on that isle and the other ice isles so.. yeah. And they give like $15k (k=thousand) I think.

5. Pick up any food items, especially hang around apple trees and get apples. Also get wishing coins because you can use them to wish for money and items in the wishing well. (World peace will just make the well give you some money and items.) If you see any pots with rainbows going in them walk to them and you will get around $10k.

6. I went to Whorl Island to get a horse for some reason..Basically after getting a little more money, maybe 30k-ish start trying to get a wild horse. DO NOT BEG!!! It is against the rules and you can get banned (Also it just called to me, don't ask) people rarely go there probably because it is so frustrating to get around but there is a good amount of apple trees, LOTS of wishing coins, and I found a few pots of gold around there. Also I found my first 2 horses. Yes 2 horses within 10 minutes of each other. I was probably really lucky and you might not get the same experience.

7. Keep doing caves and stuff... also keep looking for hidden treasure. Pick up any gems like emeralds, rubies, etc., you can sell them for a good amount of money. If your inventory starts getting full sell some food because they're fairly common.

ALSO: you will NOT see the wild horse.. it will say the wild horse is there just like some items are there. Also you need a full set of basic tack (bridle, saddle pad, saddle) to ride horses. Horseshoes are not required.

P.S. in Hi1 you can get Llamas and camels, but you can only find them in specific climates and like wild horses they are rare, if not rarer. People usually sell them for really expensive, but it may be because they tend to train or offer with pets and/or full tack.

P.P.S you can't get wild horses in towns. Obviously. You have to go a little farther. A veteran told me they tend to appear on grass but forest spawns can happen, although it is rarer.

If you play Hi2 I started by picking up lots of items then selling them, then I started doing some quests. I found out you can adopt a horse from the humane place (the big red barn) and they are around 20k.

BUT first you will want to get the tack because like Hi1 you need a full set of basic tack. So I got that then when I got to 20k adopted my first horse, and put the tack on to ride her. Wild horses in Hi2 aren't "hidden", you can see their sprite.

Also treasure areas have x-marks. But now you need to buy a shovel to do that. Do pyramids and riddles, try to answer the questions that come up always (if you type fast like me you can probably look up the question answer) and do jobs in city hall, soon you will get a good amount of money.

Then put most or all of that money in the bank and let it sit. You will start getting interest which is added to your bank automatically. Quests here give pretty fair rewards. You can see all the items instead of having them be a notification thing.

I play HI2 and love love love every second of it! It is so much fun, my user is Appalachia on Eternal. Sorry, I don't play Life Cycle, what's it like? So, Horse Isle 2 is definitely better than HI1, a lot better. Give it a shot! :)

Horse Isle 2

Horse Isle 2 is an incredible 3D free game. There is no download required and it is easy to sign up for.

On horse Isle 2, you can breed, ride, quest,show and explore the world with your friends and your horse.

The only downside to this game is that some of the features can only be accessed if you have a subscription, which can be purchased inside and outside of the game.

This site is 6 years old and still there are updates of new content! Plus there are tons of quests and minigames, and you compete with your horse and ride it. This is a huge world to explore, and it is the *only* site that *don't* require you to pay real money for being a sub! Isn't that super? In short- best game ever. I've been playing Horse Isle 1 and Horse Isle 2 for years (9 in total) and I'm still having fun. I highly, highly, recommend it!

I LOVE Horse Isle! The players are all very nice, hilarious npc names and so on and so forth. It is rather easy but tiresome to earn money but it is worth it. And if you need anything, ask the subscribed players for an extra item they might have.

I've been playing Horse Isle since 2007, and I can't get enough. It's so challenging and fun, and you learn so much about trading, horse breeds, and so many other things. You can either play HI1 or HI2, they both are wonderful so I play both. HI2 has great graphics, and the creators of the game draw with beautiful horses. The environment is awesome, the quests and mini games are fun and difficult at times, but rewarding. I would 10/10 recommend this game to anyone who loves horses.

I started playing HI2 in 2012. LOVE IT! It took me a while to figure out stats and the object of the game though i was like 10 at that time. I LOVE the Life Cycle server. Once that was up and running i deleted my account on eternal. Went back about a month or 2 ago and i love both of them! Eternal is very challenging due to the money economy, but Life Cycle's also challenging. I've told a bunch of people about this game and they also LOVE IT!!!

I recommend this to people 12 AND OVER. I think its too challenging for younger people but my sister(10) plays it... doesn't get it though xD

I love this game! I just started. It is basically Animal Crossing except with horses! I haven't got my first horse yet. I plan to adopt my first horse from the livery once I get enough money to care for it. This game is amazing and really addicting!

Hacked and Forever Banned

I myself played horse isle for a long time I was been a beta player many people on the game knew well of me I was the criollo freak of the game. I miss the game but one day apparently someone had been playing on my account and got me banned. I tried to make a new account but they had forever banned me, I here that horse isle is now banning players for no reason. I've heard of the money scams as well.. I would've recommended this about 1 1/2 years ago but now I'm not so sure that it's the best game anymore.

By far, Horse Isle is one of the best horse games I've played. Its something that keeps me interested as I've been playing since shortly after the game was published. It is a pixel world you live in, but each horse has its own art for when you view it. What I really like about this game is that there is nothing you can't do without being subscribed (except for draw in the drawing rooms, and own more than 5 horses). Other than that, everything is the same for all players. I did finally subscribe to this game, however, wanting to just catch horses all day as I've finished all the quests. A very good game for all ages!

P.S. I am Clawfire on the Brown Server. Started on Roan initially.

HorseIsle 1 is one of the best games on the World Wide Web. It is 100% safe, and it will flag you if you give out any personal information. It is very easy to get tack, horses, companions, etc. You can make friends, compete in various competitions, even catch your own horses. There are new breeds and companions added constantly. I've been playing since 2007, and I love it.
Although, HorseIsle 2 is not as great. It's very detailed system makes it tough to run on older computers, and can slow newer ones down. I will always prefer HI1 to the second one.

horseisle is a lot of fun! i play on horseisle 1 and love it you get the chance to own and take care of your horses you can train and show them in competitions like show jumping, dressage, racing, and Draft.

I have been playing for about 2 years and there is still so much i can do. they are always coming up with more breeds, companions, and quests for us to work on. Everyone is nice and friendly and ready to help new players.

Horse Isle, overall, is DEFINITELY not for the average horse simmer. It is a online multi-player SIM/RPG game that is more suitable to the older age because of challenges thrown throughout the game such as learning to save up your money and follow the rules that you were given when you first joined. If you don't like it, it just isn't for you.

I'm not calling you lazy, but usually when people don't like Horse Isle it's because it's quite harder to earn money and thrive in the game than most SIM/RPGs.

Overall, I love this game and think of it as fun and enjoyable. Like monopoly, almost.

Banned w/one violation

Ok, so I go to log in one day, and an alert comes up saying I was BANNED! :( Sad hu? Well the only thing I had violations for was arguing with some mod named Cherish ( >:-( mean) about whether or not you can trade tools. Well the day after I saw that I had a violation point. I knew it was from that. But I also knew that A) they go away after 2 months and B)I had to get 10 to get kicked off. Will I ever get to go back on? If so tell me soon cause I <3 that website!

K, all you people who are mad at this game, you are in the same sticky spot as I am, i was banned,i felt scammed, i felt used, i felt neglected, but mainly the reason all you are mad is probably because you had such fun playing this that you cant believe you got banned and not allowed to go back, it's kinda like you were having the best time of your life, like it seemed LIKE you life, then BAM! you were kicked out, blocked, and ignored, so ya, all of you are mad, I am too, but I guess if I made this game a "family" game, i would make these rules, although not the rules that said permanent ban and not allowed to return ever, I know some people who has managed to keep an account on there for a long time without being caught even though they were banned several time, the reason I did not report this was because, well, I was thoughtless, I didn't care, I should've been responsible, but I wasn't.

AND TO ALL THOSE PLAYERS OUT THERE WHO SAYS THEY LOVE THE GAME, THAT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T FEEL HOW ITS LIKE TO BE BANNED FOREVER WHILE HAVING SUCH GREAT FRIENDS AND STUFF.
everyone has their own way of playing, some are bad, some are good, idk, but for now, its the final straw for me, my advice: DO NOT PLAY UNLESS YOU WANNA BE RIPPED OFF FROM!

I used to be RainbowArch and I mainly got banned from role playing though other people were doing horrible things, they managed to stay on, I got violations a lot by misspelled words, and the Admins automatically think what they think, so sorry to HI 2 Support, I really do love your game and I'd give my life to it, but now I wont.

Another last note, to all you people out there who got banned, its ok, I know how it feels, just try another game like Ourworld or something, idk, just calm down, I know how it feels, really, I do.

To HI2 Support, I know you guys are being fair and you were hired to do things like that, BUT, if players keep being banned like that forever, pretty soon, HI wont have any more players, I'm not being mean and rude, truly, i'm not, i really love your game, but the creator of this game has to let loose a little, how about just giving months bans? Yes, the only reason I believe in to be banned permanently is extra accounts and stuff, but not main account, just give them months and months of banning! Is that hard? That can give people time to think about what they have done!

I have so much more to say, but I prefer to hear other people's opinions, so thanks for reading this :)

Sorry but the one down fall that lead me to not like Horse Isle is the lack of stuff for nonmembers to do, it's not ranches and stuff I'm talking about it's buying and trading off other people. Great games such as Horwse allow this for all members but on Horse Isle I feel this is what let it all down for me, I basically felt like I couldn't do anything after I'd caught my 5 horses.

Do not go to chestnut. I repeat do not go. If you want to be banned within a five month period of time be my guest. They're watching players like hawks, reading private messages, and going over chats. They will not stop. Find a different game to waste your money on. This is from the point of view from a 5 year player. It's not worth it anymore. They'll take you for your money and when they've grown tired of you they'll throw you to the side. Hed my warning.

i got banned for (get this) explain a gun law! i got a violation pint, and went back and forth with support. they told me that content not suitable for children under 13 wasn't allowed. I said "well, laws are for everyone" and then i got BANNED! I had spent loads of my own money on that game, and they just banned me forever!

then i created a new account, used TunnelBear, that IP address blocking site and got banned AGAIN. Then they banned my LC account (which is an entirely different server).

I played on HI2 for over a year and a half. I spent well over $1,000 of my OWN, real money towards the game, and in the end, found out that I was lied about, that their MODS were sharing personal and private info about ME with other players, amongst other things I do not want to talk about. I have never been mean to anyone, lied to anyone, or hurt anyone... I tried to change my Username and delete all my "Buds" to start fresh, only to be harassed by people who were my former buds, and made feel VERY uncomfortable. I made a decision to sell everything, and start from scratch. I made a new account, and transferred what I have worked for so long to earn over to it. I was BANNED! When I contacted Support, I received NONE! I was told that I loose everything and can not transfer a THING back to my old account! I made them aware what had happened, and they didn't care. They have no concern for their customers or their customer's security or comfort! DO NOT TRUST THEM AND BE VERY CAREFUL..!!!
