Racing Stripes

OK, this isn't my fave horse movie, but I like it!
Racing Stripes is about a zebra foal who is accidentally abandoned by the circus that owns his sire and dam. A man, who worked as race horse trainer until his wife died in a racing accident, finds the zebra foal in the middle of the road and takes it home. His teenage daughter is thrilled, and names the foal Stripes.
Several other animals, including a wise old Shetland pony and an insane pelican, join the story. Fanny, the goat, encourages the Shetland to teach the enthusiastic zebra how to race. Stripes is overjoyed, especially when the trainer's daughter tries to race him. But several failures, as well as the restrictions placed the ex-trainer, are discouraging and prohibiting Stripes' racing dreams.
Will Stripes ever be able to conquer the doubt and discouragement coming from all sides and become the race horse he has always wanted to be? Or will he become simply another oddity at run-down farm?
