This is a great story! ~sorry I never read this earlier~ I love they way you show the horses personalities by the way they talk! I found it very funny when the little filly said "Eye Candy"! I just loved that. I'm going to go read your other stories now! Expect loads of comments from me:)

I love it! Telling it in present tense was a stroke of genius. Despite their long, long memories, horses live in the moment. It's something that humans can definitely learn from them. Horses learn from the past and look forward to the future, but ultimately they live in the present. The little black is a striking character and I already love her, and Ron the Roan is extremely appealing. Please write on! I can't wait to hear the next part! Keep writing!

I loved the way you playfully wrote this. I could totally imagine any horse (including my own) perceiving and interacting with the world in the way you described it. Awesome job! Can't wait for Part 2!
