When I was little my favorite animal was a dog. But one day when I was about 4 I seen a picture of a horse and I asked my mom what it was and she told me. It was a picture of a blood bay with black hair that looked like it jumped out of the book.
For two years I kept begging my dad for a pony. And I went to a union meeting with my dad and a lady walked up to me and said "I heard that you wanted a pony". And I said is it for free and she said yes.
At that very moment my heart lit up I was finally going to get a pony. Her name was trigger and she was a really old pony but I loved her so much. But three years later my dog got sick and I just had this draby feeling that for some reason I still remember that feeling and when I went in my dad was going outside.
I asked what he was doing. And he said we have to get your pony up. And looked outside and I seen her there with tears of pain laying on the cold winter ground. She died at 12:05 on valentine's day.
Four years of sadness passed and I wanted a horse again. Then I found this amazing 7 year old sorrel paint named "jags dream times two" I found on craigslist and it had been posted 30 minutes before and I said that's fate. I called the guy that day and he still had her. The day we went and looked at her. I took one look at her and said your my horse jag.

Hey I have a ranch and I do rodeos with my family i've won so much. My fave horse is rascal or tayler's precious rascal. He is a sorrel quarter horse gelding. I have more horses but if I name them all this would be very long.
I have a thoroughbred shadow or outofthedarkness both of her parents were descends of secretariat. She is a bay mare. I also have two palomino mares (they have no papers). Lillie is the mare and dakota is the foal. I trained dakota myself. I started riding young and fell in love with it. I want to be a vet when I'm older.

Hi, I'm horse crazy because, well there is no real reason I just love the animals! They're so strong and majestic. I live to ride. I go to a summer camp every year. The last horse I rode, his name was Monty, he was 16.2hh, he was sorta fat. Well he was fat. His head was so big that they couldn't find a noseband big enough for him.

I know everything about horses! I live and breath my love for them! I started going Crazy about them when I was 8, and I'm 11 now!!! I go to a riding stable in Elverta, CA. I am still a beginner in riding though. I've only had one lesson but I love it!!!
I'm horse crazy because it's in my blood. My dad and aunt had horses when they were young. My dad still LIKES horses, but he doesn't love them like he used to. My aunt, she still is going strong in her horse crazy life. She owns three horses. Rose (Appaloosa mare), Buddy, Owen (Paint gelding), and Legacy (Arabian mare).
I used to take "lessons" on Legacy. That's how in my first lesson, I'd had experience with stubborn behavior.I know that I will ALWAYS be Horse-Crazy, and never, ever will quit on my love for horses. THE HORSE-CRAZY GIRL'S PROMISE: I swear to be true to my life and love of horses. Once I'm Horse-Crazy, I'm ALWAYS Horse-Crazy. Amen!

Hello!!!I have always dreamed of owning a horse since i was able to talk!(maybe even before!!xD)IT WOULD BE AWESOME to have my own horsey webpage as well!
My favorite breeds are gypsy vanners. I find them beautiful. I've always loved horses with lots of feathering. Sadly the closest I ever got for owning a horse was when i was at summer camp and when my mom found out the person who used to live in this house before us owned a donkey!!!
My mom went to ask the landlord and the landlord said he'll see. But OMG!!it was a year ago and he keeps saying he'll see!!! I go out horse riding and my favorite up there is Gunner. He's such a doty baby!! He's a fleabitten gray crosbreed and is 18 years of age. I love him SOOOOOOO much!!!!
I'm horse-crazy in many ways. Horses are my passion and nothing!!(or no-one)can overtake them!!! Owning a webpage/website would be so much fun in many ways. I would make it something like horsecrazygirls.com, because this website is unreal!!!!

So you want to know why I'm completely kookoo with horses? Well it all started when I was little. About 7 years old to be exact. I fell in love with the movie Spirit.
The movie about a Mustang that did anything to protect his home -- the place he belonged. It was a beautiful movie. I kept watching it and watching it until right this day! And ever since, I fell in love with horses... I think horses have something magical in them. I don't know what it is.
Horses are just so different from all the other animals. And believe me, I'm a true animal lover! I know everything there is to know about these majestic 4-legged creatures. I know I've never owned a horse and won't anytime soon. But that doesn't mean I don't love to learn about them! Ever since my love for horses was born, I felt a weird feeling -- a feeling that pushed me to know more. And so I did my research and over time, I just began to learn everything there is to know.
I still remember those days when I begged my dad to take me to the video game store to buy more horse games. I own more than 20! Now I'm trying to convince them to pay for lessons. I know we can't afford it...so I always dream of buying my own ranch when I get older to own a bunch of horses.
The first time I rode a horse, I was cantering the horse! They said I was great for a beginner! So that's my story. That's why I fell in love with horses and that's why I still am. Although I don't own a horse doesn't mean I can't be horse crazy!

Ever since I was a little girl I was begging my parents for a horse they always said no so instead I would go to my neighbors house and ride there pony (Debby) until we had to move. When we moved I felt like my life was over I had no friends and no horses/ponies to ride I was torn, then one day while I was at cheer practice my twin sister told me about this ranch that she thought we should ride at so I decided to drop cheer and go to this ranch.
Wwhen we arrived at the horse ranch it was BEAUTIFUL and filled with horses there were horses in the pastures and every single stall was occupied by a horse, we met the owner of the ranch and she asked us if we were ready to ride I was like without a doubt.
She brought three different horses in Granola, Meadow, and Thelma my older sister called the tallest horse Granola and so I claimed the second tallest and may I say my horse had the most hilarious stubborn little attitude her name was Thelma so that meant my twin got Meadow we groomed and tack up then headed out to the coral.
That day we learned how to post trot I had sooo much fun that me and my twin have continued riding there and for my older sister she doesn't go because well she claims she got to dirty last time (lol)
I have continued riding Thelma and I realized me and her have the same attitude stubborn but adorable and you can't stay away from her adorablness lol well thank you for reading my riding story.

Me lunging shawnee
For as long as I can remember I have wanted a horse of my own. After about 6 years of begging, my mom and dad finally said yes!
I started by looking on the Internet and found some that would work and we looked at them, but they didn't seem right. I thought it would be easy to find a horse, but is was not! If took forever to find the right one.
Finally I found what seemed to be the right one! The ad said: 'nice paint mare. Great on the trail and has been shown in the past. Loves kids and would be great for a beginner! $1300.'
She was perfect! She is just what I wanted! The picture of her showed a sorrel paint with a star and a snip. The only sorrel on her was on her neck. She was gorgeous!
I was so excited when we drove up the driveway. I couldn't wait to see her!
Then we parked the car and went to the barn. There was the owner and she had a halter in their hand. She said "come with me. I will got Sawnee." Shawnee. I thought. What a cool name! Then I saw Her! She was beautiful! I wanted her. I looked into her dark brown eye and saw love. Then the woman brought her back to the barn and got her tacked up. She let me brush her and then I put on my helmet and mounted up.
She was perfect! I thought. Then the ride was done and I dismounted. I wanted to ride into the sunset! She was AWESOME! Then the parents talked about horse stuff and I hung out with Shawnee. She was so sweet! Then it was time to go. :( I said buy and then we left. All the way home I felt like a part of me was restored! I just had to have her! I thought. Then we got home and i went to my room and drew a picture of me ans Shawnee.
It is now a month later and she is in my backyard. I love her to death! She is my baby!

I rear. My anger tells me to ignore my stinging legs. I go up. Memories are coming. Flesh. Pain. A baby. My baby.
Wheezing. Coughing. Blood. A cord. From me to my foal. A man. White coat. A needle. Pain. Baby. His breathing...It stops. He's dead!
Anger. So much. I rear again. I vaguely hear the men and their cooing words. No! The man. Her father, he whips me. He thinks it is my fault. But why? I remember... The girl, she died. My child!
I shriek. The pain... I fall. Am I to have the fate of my child? The men. I am here. Light. Blindness. They carry a needle. So much like the one at his death. At my foal's death. I shriek. A prick. I am feeling dull... I am still alive... Vaguely I think of memories. The men, they help me up. Wait! Help? What am I thinking. It is like I am under a spell...

Hummm. Jordan can not think. Oh why must she be in here? School. She shudders. Her cell buzzes. The text, it makes her smile:

I love horses because I feel like they are the only true animal that connects with you when you are on or off the horse. I feel that they know what I'm feeling on the inside and out. They also support me and make me understand more about how they feel about things. Horses are just flying angels, the way I see it, they are just in a different form.

I recently got a new horse named rocky. I taught him barrels and we run 16 seconds flat so far, which is pretty good considering he is a thoroughbred off the track that haven't been rode in 6 years. Poor guy.
He has a tattoo on his lip from racing. We did some research and found that he has won over 300,000 dollars and he was even horse of the year! I definitely have a diamond in the ruff.
When we bought him, he had to be separated from his trustee pasture buddy Jessie. He went into depression and wouldn't let anyone ride him. So my mom gave him to me. And we bonded instantly! And now, he's my baby running winning times in 1-D.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've always had a special place in my heart for horses. Over time, more and more equine siblings entered my life, and I am so grateful to have such a strong bond with such amazing creatures!! Here's a little about my horses:
Jazzy: She's the old gal in my family. Jazzy's 23 years old, going to be 24 this July (yes, she's getting up there!). She is 1/2 arabian, 1/4 thoroughbred, and 1/4 hanoverian. Whew, that's a lot!! Jazzy is very (emphasis on very!) spooky, but is very loving and patient.
Kismet: Kismet is the second oldest, as well as the second mare. She is Jazzy's distant cousin (I believe they share the same grand dam or something like that...), which I think is pretty cool!! She is 100% hanoverian (she has a brand mark to prove it), but may have a touch of arab in her because of the way she holds her tail. Kismet is the most bomb-proof right brain introvert you will ever meet (Well, she's 22 years old, so I guess she's too old to really care any more :P)! She is very sweet and I compete in Dressage with her.
Jack: He's an accident waiting to happen, but he's such a good boy! Jack is my mom's gelding, and he's the youngest in our equine family (He's only 10 years old.). Jack is a Dutch warmblood with the perfect bloodlines for dressage (I mean, c'mon, his dad is Idocus!). He's a massive 17 hh, but he hasn't realized that yet, which is the reason he keeps hurting himself(poor boy!). Jack is a real character and is the brother you wish you had!
Rocky: Rocky is new to our family, but I still love him as much as all of the other horses! He is an ex-eventer (He's now slowly becoming a dressage horse.), very energetic, but such a darling! He is 15 years old and fairly tall, reaching about 16.3 hh (he seems bigger on his back than looking at him from the ground. Weird, huh?). Rocky is such a sweet horse (they all are!) and only wants to please you!
Well, these are my horses!! I will post pictures of them, but I'll have to go to a different computer because my new laptop doesn't have any pics of them on here (tragic, isn't it? I will fix that issue ASAP!!!).....

Patrick was a black QH. We first met when I was 8 I went in to his stall to see his foal and the mom and feed him. The trial was fine, but coming back out took a while.
Here's the story.
When I was coming back out he didn't know I was right there, so he reared up about three feet in the air. Boy was that scary!! But the next week we became best friends.
Then later that day I could sit under him if I wanted to!! A couple days later bad news came. He was poisoned!! racoons pooped on his food! The next week we had to put him down. I miss him SO much and I would do anything to have him back!!
Sorry no photos.

I am a horse crazy girl because I love horses I love horse movies (especially spirit: stallion of the cimarron herd) I love drawing horses I love horse games. I think I started loving horses when I was about 6 months olds when I first got my stuffed horse sally from my grandma. Horses are my most fav thing ever (well besides my parents and family and god) whenever I hear the word 'horse' I jump up and say 'horsey!'.
I have always wanted to have a horse. Since I fell off a horse at my b-day party I've been scared to get on one without someone holding the right stirrup. But I always say 'it's ok don't be scared the horse will become scared also' so I'm not that scared anymore.
I will do anything with horses if I have to (yes I will anyways even if I didn't have to). I'm
thinking on creating a website called 'www.Horseloverforever.Com' I hope it's going to get a lot of views! I'll tell everyone when its done. I have a horse book called 'for horse crazy girls only everything you need to know about horses.'
I also have some breyer books lucky patch dash snowflake and I think another one. I love spirit so much! I found the movie online and it's one of my bookmarks. I spent like an hour trying to find it. My horse thing that I will never let go of is my horse sally and snickers.
My mom is trying to get me into a horse camp soon I hope the instructors are nice. Once I do that for a couple of years ill be ready to do horse riding lessons! Everyday I ask my parents 'can we get a horse soon?' and 'can we move to the country?' my dream horse will be black white a spot on its head the shape of a diamond. It's what my horse sally looks like (and snickers). I just really want a horse. I'll take care of it pick its hooves, groom it, make sure it gets the proper care and lots of love.
Well that's it for now bye!!!

But a few years after that I had a bad fall. I broke two bones in my shoulder. I could not jump for three months. My goal in life was to get back on. So that's what I did.

Hey, my names Emilee and this is my story.
Ever since I could talk horses have been my passion! When I visited my cousin's I would make my parents stop and let me out to take pictures of the horses down the street from her house.
I go to horse camp every year and nothing will every make me stop loving horses. Except.... a couple years ago I was diagnosed with something call PKD, a kidney disorder. My brother has it as well. My parents said it would weaken me and with treatment I couldn't ride. I had to go to my trainer and explain all this to her. It broke my heart!!
I love the horse I rode, her name was Rosie. She was a amazing jumper and could gallop faster than any stallion. She was a grey and white quarter horse! I loved her so much, and now I had to stop riding her.
My trainer told me I could have one last ride with her. So I took her to our favorite spot, far from everyone by a lake we called Lost Lake, due to a legend about a runaway horse that every year on September 19 would come back and show itself, although the legend starts decades ago we still believed!
Me and Rosie were on a rock over the water. I was looking over the water when my foot started to slip. The fall from the rock to the water was almost 40 feet. I started to fall when all of a sudden Rosie reached down and grabbed my shirt. She kept trying to pull me back but it wasn't working. I yelled as loud as I could but nobody heard me.
She finally pulled me over to a safe place on a rock. By now it was getting dark and when I went to get on Rosie to ride back to the stables I noticed she was limping. Her front hoof had gotten a nail stuck in it and she couldn't walk on it. I didn't want to pull it out because I didn't want it to get really infected.
It was about an hour back and I didn't want to risk it in the woods. So I laid down to get some sleep. When I woke up Rosie was laying down and she had a fever, I was scared and worried. I kept yelling until I heard my trainer Lisa and my parents. They hugged me and told me how much they were worried about me.
I told them about Rosie saving my life and how she was sick. They called the vet and we walked her back to the stables. With her having a fever and a nail in her foot anything could happen. When we got the vet to look at her she was diagnosed with colic.
They got the nail out of her foot and wrapped it up. We were given shots to give her daily. I stayed with her over the next few days sleeping in the barn. When Rosie became well it was time for me to go to treatment.
I had to leave Rosie who saved my life and go to the hospital. When I healed from treatment I went to visit Rosie, we were both well and I could ride again. Rosie saved my life and I love her more than words can say. We are both Survivors!!! <3 Rosie, MY 3 year old school horse.

I am so horse crazy because, I have a riding lesson once a week but try mostly to ride twice a week, okay, I may not be the craziest in the world, and I don't have a horse of my own, but, I go to my riding center and help a lot.
At my stable, my instructors take us at least once a month to an abused horse reduce mission center. We help as much as possible. And my room is horse heaven!!!!!
I have horse posters every where, and I have pictures of my riding my favorite horses, a horse bed cover, and when you walk in my room, on the front door, it says, "this room is for horse riders/horse lovers only!"
I may not have my own horses and live on a barn, but I am horse crazy :)

The horse adventure that I remember is when my sister's boyfriend got a Belgium her name was lyretta she was living with two mules.
I was up in the barn loft throwing down some hay for a sick calve that was out in a field and when I came back down I found lyretta in the hay sticking her tongue out at the mules when she would get a bite and when I said lyretta what are u doing she looked at me and came to me. I think she was telling me to ride her bareback to the calve to get her away from them mules why I think that is because she went behind me and nudged my butt like come on.
I don't have a horse of my own yet but I am saving up my money for one I am so close. I love horse so much I created my own little classroom and some of my friends come over and I am teaching them how to be horse crazy!!!!

They are beautiful creatures, actually I love most animals, but something about horses caught my eye. I guess it's there nature, the way they cheer you up, the way they become your best friend, the bond there can be between horse and human.
I can also give credit to our first mare (who died earlier this year after being ill with AHS)for learning me to love horses and have a great respect for them...

I am horse crazy because I love horses. When I wasn't able to go to the stables I cried the whole day. Then I almost died when I got kicked out, but instead of leaving horse world behind I went looking for a new stable, two let me down but now I'm at Kentucky Farms.
I'm leasing a horse there. her name is sugar and we didn't know she had cancer because her actual owner didn't tell us. We learned that from the manager. That's when I had to make a big decision to either keep sugar or leave her behind.
I chose her because I felt sorry for her. She didn't get the proper grooming and she's losing wight. But with me she is a very clean horse and she looks better too, and she doesn't look so skinny now. She still is skinny but not as skinny.
Also I'm writing a story called the wild one about a horse. My bed spread is nothing but horses, I have a bunch of horse books and stuffed toy's. Above my dresser the wall is filled with horse pictures and I have a horse album.
Every movie about a horse I watch and I have a bunch of drawings of horses I did and have more than 18 statues. Then I have accounts on different horse games were I have my own horse. And I rode western but now I have to ride English but I don't mind. Its still fun and I love it.
Once I got so crazy I asked to sleep in the barn, but of course I couldn't. So that's why I'm horsecrazy!

I have a 16 year old sorrel Quarter Horse named Bullet and an 11 year old bay Quarter Horse named Dodge (hence my username.) I ride pretty much everyday and I am a barrel racer. I have been riding for 10 years and I just love the presence of horses in my life.
I pretty much live out by the barn and spend most of my time out there. I feel so lucky that I am finally living the dream. If though it did take 15 years, dreams really do come true!
I have Dodge and Bullet to prove it.

my horse teachers and me
My favorite horse is Moonbeam, then Rosie, then Stitch. Actually, I love all the horses at the stables I go to.
My favorite breed is Paint and Pinto because they are just plain pretty. I began riding when I was five years old. But even before then, I loved horses.
I have been riding for four years and have been in two shows. My favorite horse activity is cantering. But I also love to jump.

My first ride was on a pony going around.
My grandfather has a love for horses too so he would share it with me. It used to be just a love for horses but now it's for riding as well. I kept bugging my parents to get a horse but as they said it would make more since to know how to ride. So instead of bugging them for a horse I bugged for lessons.
Finally they found a barn! I was so excited! So excited I didn't even care 50% of their land was muck. I met with the coach a couple days after to see where I'm at with riding. I rode a horse named Storm he was sold at auction later. Soon I was in lessons.
My coach that worked for the coach I met was making a new farm so me and mom followed her. There I met my best friends, the horses. I saw all of the horses there wasn't a lot but now there's plenty! There I learned to canter and gallop and jump! I rode lots of horses.
Now I'm helping train a horse named Jazz. I love being in the paddock with the horses and petting them.

I have always been fond about horses. In grade 4 my mom took me to a horse camp and that was when I knew I loved horses so I started studying them. In grade five I found a stable about ten minutes out of my home town. For a while the person I worked for had 5 horses a welsh/quarter horse, 2 quarter horses and 2 shetland ponies.
Now I take care of 3 horse for the same person a quarter horse mare named Lady, she is the lead mare, she is chestnut and she is 14. A welsh/quarter horse mare named Baby, she is 4,and she is white (not gray she has a pink nose). And my favorite horse of all is a quarter horse mare named Dejay, she is sorrow, and 5 years olds.
I still study about horse and I want to be a horse vet when I am older. I go to an equestrian camp now in North Dakota. I have a massive collection of model horses, stables ,tack ,vet equipment etc. I really want a horse of my own. And my favorite breed and color of horse is Anglo-Arab, dapple gray.

Antigone (Ant-i-gun-ee)
When I first saw Antigone I was warned to stay away. "That Witch!", they would say, "She's totally untrainable. She's Dangerous!" But of course, my curiosity got the best of me. I am in charge of feeding all the horses at the barn, and I would slip treats into her feed. At first, she would gallop around the pasture in fear and cow kick, and crow-hop, and she would rear, swinging her forelegs, warning me to get away. She would then stop, and throw out one back leg.I would dump her feed, and then stand there. She would cautiously approach the feed bucket.
Soon, I could stroke her forehead a few times. A couple days later, it took everything I had not to run to her when I saw the man with the lunge whip going down to her paddock, in an attempt to get the halter on her. I held back tears and screams when I heard her fearful whinnies, and it seemed like she was calling me.
When I drove home, sure enough, the halter was on her. "I can't get that blanket on her!" My trainer called out. Well, I was NOT going to let that man go back down there with a lung whip! So I went down there myself. Talking to her in a soft, whisper-quiet voice, she stood stock-still while I slipped the blanket off her back. But, after I slipped the blanket off, she walked straight up to me!
After that, Antigone and I have been Best Friends...

Hi all! My first ever experience with horses was when my second cousin invited me to come to her house for a ride ( because I had never actually been to her house before). I rode her 12 year old son's horse Bomber. He is a gorgeous red chestnut 13hh pony. He was fourteen years of age and is sooooo well behaved.
It was my first ever experience (like I said) so I was really nervous! But I LOVED it! I was so happy when we got off. I absolutely LOVED it my mum was riding my cousins 15hh bay horse but she wasn't so keen but she was happy that I liked it.
Now I attend the local horse riding club and I have made so many friends! One of my friends in particular, she has a horse of her own but is very generous with him. He is a 15hh palomino quarter horse. He is twenty two years of age and is very VERY lazy!
He is the best beginners horse and he has given me the confidence to go riding on my own. So that's my story :) I hope you enjoyed reading this! :)

Hi everybody I am going to tell you about me!!! I started riding when I was 6 years old and I rode hunter jumper and I rode a welsh pony named Barrymore. I ended that in about a year and I stopped riding for 6 months due to a surgery I had.
I later quit riding hunter jumper and started riding Saddle Seat. I learned so much from my instructor, but sadly she moved to Colorado to work with her friend who owns an Arabian farm, she later moved to New York to work and take over a huge successful Saddlebred farm in New York.
When she moved I started riding at Shamrock Horsemanship Academy and it was just basic riding. I later moved to my cabin for the summer and met a wonderful Dressage instructor and she has cancer so I am riding with instructors that she trusts.
She has 3 horses, there is Danube(Danny) who is a former Olympic dressage horse, I also ride her and she is the mother of the other two horses. Another horse is Remilliagh(Remi), he is 10 years old and he will possibly be in the next Olympics which will be in 2016 I think. Then there is Trinity she is not fully trained yet but she is very sweet. All of the horses are Holsteiner Warmbloods.
I also ride western, I do not take lessons, but I know it pretty well. I also ride/take care of a horse named Dancer. My family has known Dancer's owner forever and everyday I ride her unless it's raining or the main arena is to wet to ride in. Dancer is 14 years old and she is a mustang and she used to be wild, she is also a western horse.
I am Christian and am 11 years old and LOVE horses!!! I also have two accounts on the game Howrse, on the international version my username is KhissesLover and on the U.S. version my username is RatherBRidin. If you would like to be friends with me please let me know.
Also if you would like any information on horses I would love to help!!! I love horses because they the most amazing creatures God has made I think, I love anything and everything about horses!!!

I first fell in love with horses when I would see them in then running in pasture near my kindergarten. That love deepened when one of the horses tried to eat the teacher's assistants' hair!
When I moved away from there I didn't see a real horse for nearly two years. Sure I got Breyer horses and such for my birthday and Christmas and such but it wasn't like the real thing.
I thought I would never get to ride. My dad was uninterested in horses. My mom is scared and allergic to them. But riding is in my blood. My Great-great-grandfather was a Thoroughbred race horse trainer and so was his son.
I kept asking and asking my parents for riding lessons and finally they agreed to take a look around. After searching the internet for ages we got a recommendation from my Grandpa for a place where a friend's daughter rode.
The minute I saw the place I was in love. I (being 8 year old at the time) told my mom that this was the place. I've been riding there ever since.
After nearly 5 years of riding, 4 years of showing, and 13 of persisting for a horse I convinced my parents to let me lease a horse. I am now the lessee of an amazing chestnut Arabian gelding named Yabba Dabba Blue (Bubba for short).
So, for everyone out there who thinks they will never be able to ride or convince their parents how much riding means to them, don't give up. All of the time spend could pay off someday.

I love horses and my first horse was very good to me. The horse name was Megan-Raven due to her coat being as dark as the bird raven.
Three weeks of owning and taking care of her, she became heaver and more stubborn for me to ride that we had to take her to the vet because Megan-Raven would tell me things by pawing on the ground or bobbing her head up and down! This mare surprised us that she was IN-FOAL! I bought her and the last owner did not tell me that she was with a stallion!
So I was being sure that the good mare had hay and grain but no bad grass in our pasture. In after 3 or 4 weeks of waiting there came a nice filly. It was maybe a dun but it was a beauty. The foal's name is Wonder.
I had to sell Megan due to needed money and we still got Wonder who is still pretty upset for her mom to be gone. Oh well I miss her too.

This is a TRUE story about my mother...
My mom is a true hero in my eyes and I'll tell you why......
My mom was super horse crazy and read all she could (reading a book a day), and one Christmas she found a big box under the tree. She opened it and dug through all the sheets and cloth scraps and found a note at the bottom, it read "you will be able to pick up your horse in spring." She was so happy and tried to find out all about him.
Sonny was his name and at the farm that he was from she was expecting a wonderful mare that she knew was there and when got there that spring it wasn't her at all.... it was a chestnut gelding (sonny) that was full of worms and was literally skin and bones, never had been touched in his life of two years, and would soon die. But my mom loved him the same and by the way he was $100.
She worked with him every day but he bucked her off all the time! Later in life her mom and dad broke up and she nearly sold Sonny but instead she became a boarder at a near by farm. And there she learned quite a bit and her horse Sonny learned a lot!
Then when Sonny was 14 she took dressage lessons and Sonny did so well that the two of them became so bonded that they were one, and all she did was think it and he did it! Then at a show, there was a person there that was cleaning up all that season and got 1st, 1st, 1st. My mom and Sonny threw their hearts at it and they got 3rd and the one person got 4th!!!!
So the horse that was winning and winning, was thousands of dollars and my mom's horse was $100, and she won against her!!!
My mom is my hero for loving a horse that was initially skin and bone horse, that wasn't the prettiest horse either. She turned him into a wonderful horse that would never let any other rider on him, and was so bonded.

Hey are you looking for easy horse tips well here's the place. I'm no expert but I would like to help you.
WALKING
Everyone thinks walking is easy but its not.....
1. WHILE walking sit up straight with your elbows bent and toes pointing down.
2. Don't sit too far back in the saddle but not to far forward either. Remember to move with the horse and don't sit all stiff and unmoving.
3. Don't rely on your rein's cause this will pull back on the horse's mouth and hurt them.
4. The horses can sense your feelings so if you are scared they will sense it and might buck.
TROTTING
1. Trotting is the same but you have to rise and fall in time with the horse.
2. When you first start trotting you should hold onto the saddle to help you rise and fall.
3. If you are having trouble count 1 2 1 2 1 2 every time you rise and fall.
REMEMBER YOUR SAFETY
LIKE WEARING YOUR HARD HAT!

Hi my name is Alex and my life is devoted to horses and Glee. I have loved horses forever and I have something really important to ask you, but before that, you need to know a bit more about me. . .
Ever since I was little, I have had a connection with horses. My fave show was Saddle Club. I love riding, and I always went on trail rides. When I was about 10 (I am 12 now) I started riding lessons and rode a beautiful horse called Max. Last year for my birthday I had a pony games day party which was so much fun! Now I have had to stop riding at my riding school due to the expenses and we are looking for a new place. I really loved it there. Anyway, on to the important stuff!
My mom's friend just bought a big property and it has room for cattle, sheep etc. so she said when he settles down we might get a horse to go there! I am excited but I am doubting what she said. How can I persuade her to let me have a horse at his house? And please could you give me ideas on what I would have to do to look after the horse and stuff like that.

I am a horsecrazy girl because I grew up with a horse. Here is my story.
When I was three we bought a horse we named it lightning. I started to love lightning. When I became six I rode her took care of her and like she was my very own horse. But that all happened in Iraq. So as you know there were wars in Iraq so one night there was a bomb so close and loud the it woke lightning then she was so scared that she ran away.
The next morning we went looking for her and we found her dead by the bomb. And it is a very sad story and because of her I realized that my love for horses will be the strongest love I give to any animal.

I have loved horses my whole life! My Nana even says that when I was a toddler if I was watching a horse event on TV I would always jump whenever the horse on TV did. I do not have a horse but I'm taking lessons.
I love to ride and my favorite horse I ever rode was one named Romeo. I rode him of the beach in South Carolina a year ago.
Sometimes when I think about him I'm sad because he's a trail horse and he probably doesn't remember me. My favorite book is short version of Black Beauty I got from Chick-fil-A.
I think that's all for now. Bye!

Oreo is my gypsy vanner cob. I got him on 30/10/13, he was 5 months old when we bought him. he was so young because he had been practically left on a field with some other gypsy cobs. I have been horse crazy since birth.
When I started riding lessons the first horse I rode on was crysta, a white mare.
I stopped lessons when I moved houses and started riding and looking after my mum's friend's horse, brody, he is a white pony. Her other horse was called maddox.
Every month I will post an updated picture of oreo and I will post some more in between.

Me
I'm 15 years old and have been riding for almost eight years now. I recently changed barns and that means leaving behind Daisy, the horse that has made me crazy. I trained her and re-trained her for three years at my old barn. It's hard changing barns but I need to so I could grow more as a rider.
I've been horsecrazy from the start but Daisy (Catch Me If You Can) made me who I am. I love her so much. And miss her constantly.

The reason why I love horses is that they have helped me get through a lot of things. They stand there and listen to you, its not like they will look at you and walk away, not like some girls do at my school.

Tango
I have 3 horses. :D Touche' is our rescue Thoroughbred, and is as sweet as a newborn lamb. He is an ex-racehorse, (His racing name was Touchwood)and was too slow, and was being trailered to a slaughterhouse, when my grandad's friend stepped in and saved him!
:D Tango is my fave! He is a palomino Quarter Horse who rides western. I love him with all my heart, and wish I could get a foal out of him. (But, of course, I can't. Tango is a gelding) He is so sweet, that my 3 year old sister can ride him. :D She loves Tango, too.
Our black Tennessee Walker is named Sport. His name says it all. He is a major tom-boy horse, and my sister (who thinks she is a boy) loves him to death. He is a faster, more spirited horse, and loves to run. He is the leader of our little herd. :)
We had to give Mange, a chestnut Quarter Horse, away not too long ago. He was a lazy thing, and I liked him, though I had never ridden him. We had to give him away because a crack in his hoof was causing him to become lame, and so we gave him to someone that could take better care of him.
Luckily, we know the owner very well, and I will get the lucky chance to ride him! I love horses, but mostly get to ride Hunter-Jumper style. I jump about one foot, and ride a wonderful percheron-thoroughbred cross named Donte'. (Sorry I don't have a pic) I play on White Oak Stables, and am obsessed with the game!
:D That's about it!

Even though she's 20 years old, she still can run around our pasture every bit as fast as a Thoroughbred! If she wasn't so lazy, she could be one of the leaders, just like Sand Witchh, those of you who get Modern Arabian Horse!
She's just my every day show horse that isn't you know, the sharpest horse in the ring, she's as simple as Arabians come and I love her more than any people who just simply have their horses shown by other people EVER could! She's my MSU Summer Storm and I love her SO much!

Okay, so I thought I would do this for people that are looking to buy a horse. Now, for people that don't already know, this is a very long process.
My mom and I have been looking for a horse for 5 years, and we just bought one. Now, there are a lot of horses that are up for sale. I'll give you a few hints on how to help your search for the PERFECT horse.
1. Look at a lot of sites. There are many horse selling/buying sites. And on one of those sites, you're bound to find the perfect one.
2. Narrow your search. A lot of people say to think big, look at a lot of horses, but that's not the truth. My mom and I looked at a horse that had a few things we didn't like (he was tall, an ex-racehorse, he was not trained, and he was a Thoroughbred), but we still looked at him, and actually almost bought him.
After we saw a few other horses, we realized we're happy we didn't buy him. You'll find the perfect horse, even if it does take 5 years.
3. Put a lot of thought into it. Would you mind riding this horse everyday? Would this horse be safe for you to ride? Is this horse the one you've been looking for? Is the horse perfect for you? Would you be proud to call this horse your horse?
4. Practice. Ride that horse a lot before you buy it, make sure it's good for what you want to do. If you're a Jumper, make sure your horse likes to jump. If you do Dressage, make sure your horse is calm and collected. If you do Mounted Games, make sure your horse is fast and small enough to get on from the ground.
5. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR TIME AND FIND THE PERFECT HORSE!!!
Now, comment on other tips you can think of, horse websites to buy horses on, and horses you think someone might wanna buy. Or, if you have horse you're selling, put an ad or link here!

"She's far to small for you."
"You'll never learn anything from that lump of nothing out there in that pasture or in that nasty stall."
"You need to get a new horse, one that's the right one for you."
Chiquita is a 21 year old mare. Love her loads, till one day my trainer decided to sell her. I loved her to much to let her go. I begged and cried for days, spent hours and every free time I had with her.
She was my best friend, that I never wanted to loose. My parents thought no sense into owning a horse or what's so great about them. But, I had a special passion and interest in them that no one else could seek.
After countless hours of arguing about keeping her, my trainer got fed-up with it all and said, "Sarigaro, if you want to keep her that much, prove to me 'worth something."
And I prove that old horses are not what you think they are, just a lump of dirty and poop. I took her to an EQ Test and proved to my trainer that to never sell her. I passed that EQ Test, and she's mine to keep till the day she goes to Heaven. She is the one I cherish the most in my life.

After a couple months of begging I got a pony when I was 10. Since then, I board at a nice stable and jump. My pony loves to jump and the highest I jumped her is almost 4 feet. Not too high but we haven't been jumping for long. I love my trainer too! Best British trainer ever!

I just love riding and taking care of horses! Even though I don't have my my own horse, I love them to death. I am not one of those kids who is like " I Looooove horsies" for a year then moves on. I AM positively horse crazy!
One of my pet peeves at trail rides is that some people will not groom their horses in the morning, nor tell the annoying kid to stop bouncing up and down in the saddle.
I am against pony rides, as I do not see them being praised or fed a treat or something between rides, and the fact that you only go in circles.
When I was 5 or so, one of my daydreams was to go on a pony ride, and then urge my pony away from the ride and go trotting around, away from all the annoying people.
But when I would even TOUCH the reins, a person would say "stop that, you'll scare the horse". SCARE? Hello, it's called a responding touch people!
Lots of people ask what my favorite horse breed is, and I say a Quarab. What is a Quarab you ask? It's a mix between an Arabian and a Quarter horse.
I love QHs, but I also love the stamina of Arabs. Thus concluded, I love Quarabs.
If ya want to know, I am actually just 12! I'm a little angry with child labor laws since I can't work at a stable yet, but then again, do YOU want to work in a coal mine?

Why do I love horses? I just watched this episode of the saddle club a few weeks ago and now for some reason I'm into horses.Their such beautiful, gentle and loving animals.
Lessons: I had my private lesson for one hour at Kurnell and I recommend that you try it out there to.
Name of person teaching: My trainer was called Sarah and she was lovely and had a few freckles like me!!!!
Horse: My horse's name was Digger and you got to groom the horse before you went on and they do that even for beginners like me!!!!!!!!

Horses can be your best friend. It's fun to go riding with your friends so you can see each others horses.
If you want a cool game to play online with your friends and with horses,it would definitely be Howrse. You can own and care for as many horses as you want. I love to decorate my room with horse posters.
If you want cool horse magazines they would be Horse Illustrated, Horse and Rider, and Young Rider.
All of these are cool horse stuff you should definitely try.

I am truly horse Crazy. I am half blind, and have been the proud owner of horses since I was 13 years old. Since I started I have owned over 175 horses. I currently own 4 wonderful horses with my husband, and wouldn't have it any other way.
I currently have a 3 year old grey Arabian stallion named Sultan, a 8 year old Arabian gelding named Sovereign, and a dark brown and white pinto mare named Sky Dancer. My husband's horse, is a sorrel and white mare named Beauty.
My horses are the best therapists, because they are always there to listen with non-judgmental ears. I can tell them all of my deepest darkest secrets because no matter how hard a person tries they will never ever share the secrets that I've entrusted them with.
No matter how bad I feel, how sad I am, or how hurt I may be before I enter the barn, they always make me feel better. Just the sounds of their happy neighs and whinnies boost my spirit no matter how down I think I am.
If I can't have my horses than I'm simply not myself. GIVE Me HORSES OR GIVE ME DEATH! (NOT REALLY, but pretty close LOL)

Hey I'm queen Jemma or Jemma for short. This is my page. I LOVE LOVE LOVE horses, my favorite color is purple, I take horseback riding and I'mm starting up again after a break. I'm recently on trotting, and I'm very creative and love to make crafts.
Let me tell you what my dream horse looks like: I want her to be a girl, either want her to be bay or pure white maybe even jet black, brown eyes, sweet as sugar, and would never buck me off, loves carrots, apples, and SUGAR, likes to ride on the beach or on trail rides through the forest.
I want her to always come to me when I whistle no matter what, and MOST importantly I want her to LOVE AND OBEY me. Well now you know me and my dream horse, BYE!!!!

Horses mean so much to me and my family. When I first sat on a horse I loved it, wasn't scared at all. I took my first fall at 4 years old and I got straight back on. I own my 3 horse's Candy, Hazel & Tangle. My sister Courtney also Owns 3 called Starry(Starlight), Charcoal & Hayley. Courtney's twin Sister Jazmin Owns 2 Midnight and Dancer. My younger sister owns 1 too, Jessica (Jessy).
I do lots of work with horses, I like Jumping and Cross Country when riding Hazel because she make's it so easy! Although I love doing Dressage on Candy as she never puts a hoof wrong! Tangle... has just come home from the other side of the world and so I've been working with her. She's learned lots since she's been home and I'm planning to show her next weekend. :)
I haven't rode Candy for a while because she is pregnant! I'm not sure who the Sire is! But I really don't care. Ive been thinking bout names lately and I cant find the right one so if you have any ideas you would like to share feel free to.
When I'm older I either want to be a Riding Eventer and maybe ride in the Olympics some day! If not then I wanna work or run my own riding school! Anything horsey really!
I love horses so much, and they love me back! I'm not a afraid of any horse and I always like to help out with anything! I'm still training my sisters horse Charcoal because he's a naughty boy with her! But he listens to me more so I guess its best if i take him on! Lol!
I love my life so much, thanks to my parents! But A BIG THANKS TO THE HORSES TOO!!:P XX

My old guy is sooo cute he is a 32 year old white with black spots 13.5 hh Arabian. His name is Excalibur or xie for short. He helped me get over my fear of cantering and is so cute and almost every horse/pony likes him! He is just sooooo great and I love him!
I have never showed but I am doing my first show on him in October. His best bud is an orange chestnut quarter horse mare named whinnie, his other bud is a palomino filly named junebug (born in June) she is so cute!

When I was on vacation in Grand Turk to see my grandfather, one day my mom said something about this place up the road that takes people on trail rides and a swim on horseback. I begged to go. That night I could barely sleep. SOOOO EXCITED!!!!
The next morning when we got there I was shaking with excitement. Plus I was super nervous, (I had only ridden once on a pony at a zoo.)
As soon as we mounted I was shaking. We weren't wearing helmets! We were riding Western so my knuckles were turning white from clutching the saddle horn! Embarrassing! The trail ride was long but I enjoyed every moment of it!!!
When we got back we switched into our bathing suits and put some sort of water proof saddle and off we went! We went into the water and BAM!! The horses were galloping madly and banging into each other. It was amazing! Boy, that was the best part of that vacation.
Also it got me super Horsecrazy!

As I enter into what I like to refer to as my third era of horsemanship, I look around and it dawns on me that although I no longer own horses, I could easily tack up three of them.
This new, third era began when I made the decision to start riding again. After weighing all of the possibilities, I have opted to lease a horse.
I arrived at this decision too late in the season here in Arizona to do much trail riding, so I am in the process of getting things together and leasing a horse when autumn brings cooler weather.
I did some research and discovered one of the requirements from the stables I checked into is that you provide your own tack. One stable requested both saddle and bridle, while another wanted me to use their bridle and bit, which actually made sense to me, and provide my own saddle.
Since I still owned the saddle I used during my first era of horse ownership, I didn’t see a problem with that requirement. I dragged out my old saddle to try it out for size. I had a lot of miles on that saddle and was looking forward to putting it to use again. The sight of it brought back many fond memories.
My husband steadied it while I very awkwardly mounted. It was not a pretty sight. Did I really expect the saddle I rode during my first era of horsemanship at the tender age of 16 to be a proper fit for the backside of the same woman at the still tender age of 55-plus?
Sadly, I did and even sadder, it did not. In realty, this wasn’t much of a problem. It was the green light for me to purchase another saddle and to begin hoarding tack.
I found a nice saddle with a good brand name up for bid on an online auction. The seller must have been a fellow tack hoarder because she had two almost identical saddles she was getting rid of.
I won the first one with a bid that was well below its worth and noticed that her second saddle was going at a bargain basement price, so I started bidding on that one, too. Fortunately for me, I was outbid during the final seconds of the auction. How many saddles do you need when you don’t own a horse?
Without a horse to specifically get tack for, I’m left with buying an assortment to fit an unknown horse of the future. The new saddle did not have a girth, so back to the online auction where I found someone selling four different cinches in one lot.
This was a perfectly sensible purchase, no matter what horse I ended up with one of these cinches would be sure to fit. I had a bunch of bridles that I was planning on cleaning to resell, previously purchased with a large box of miscellaneous used tack.
Now I am the proud owner of four of them. Of course, they all needed bits. If this were an audio story version, this is where you would hear the “ker-ching” of a cash register. Since you never know if your horse would do better with a hackamore, let’s hear another “ker-ching” followed by a few more for Chicago screws, conchos, curb straps and reins.
Looking back, I realize my tack hoarding began shortly after my first horse. He arrived with all the necessary tack needed for one horse and needless to say, it was all the most economical quality the horse dealer would part with; rope halter and lead rope, cheap bridle with utilitarian curb bit, saddle pad, and even cheaper plain brown saddle with wood stirrups and no brand name. With limited funding from my after-school job, upgrades were slow in coming.
If I remember correctly, the first purchase was a set of braided reins in red and brown cotton. Shortly after that was a new curb strap for my bridle as my horse could easily pull the braided reins through my fingers and give me rope burns. The saddle was a major upgrade.
It was a used Bona Allen and I traded my old saddle along with fifty dollars in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies for it. This is, by the way, the same saddle that no longer fits.
When I sold my second horse, a small Arab mix mare that I had trained myself, I was left with two western saddles, a bareback pad that had never been used, an all-purpose English saddle, five bridles, half a dozen bits, and a good collection of miscellaneous items.
I sold everything except for the Bona Allen saddle and my favorite one-eared bridle. Due to my diligent tack cleaning & oiling, these items remained in my father’s garage in excellent condition until he proudly delivered them to me when I purchased my first home with a garage six years later.
After a marriage and move into the country on five acres of land, the second era of horsemanship began. With two incomes from full time jobs, it was much easier to start tack hoarding again.
After about ten years of owning horses during this phase, my schedule became too busy to allow much time for riding. With two wonderful Quarter horses sold, it was time to get rid of the tack, again. There were three western saddles, one English saddle, one Australian saddle, another bareback pad that had never been used, (they always seem like such a good idea), nylon halters, two halter-bridle combinations, four western bridles, two English bridles and gobs and gobs of horse related accessories.
I had everything from a grooming vacuum, to a small ground driven manure spreader. Tack hoarding is seldom talked about, except in obscure corners of western stores and feed stores, but there are a lot of us out there. The yard sale was a huge success!
Now I am starting down that old familiar road once more, as my third era of horsemanship approaches. My eyes can pick out tack at a garage sale like a flying hawk can see a rabbit from a mile away.
During my last outing, I found a pile of worthless halters and nosebands – nothing I would want. The owner, however, after seeing my interest proudly pulled out a nice saddle that needed some cleaning and she was only asking $75 for it – who could resist? Definitely not a hard-core tack hoarder!
And, as luck would have it, I just happen to have an extra cinch.

(Qld (to be NSW) Australia!)
On Wednesday the 7th of December, it was pouring down rain (in Australia)! I walked through 12.5 acres and pouring down rain to find them at the last place I looked, up the top paddock. They were taking shelter from the rain. My sister was already up there as I had been making the feed. She was leading Suzy, her pony behind her.
Cliff hadn't noticed and he was 200 m away. Soon he looked up and trotted, then cantered towards us. He whizzed past Sophie, and Cliff was spooked by the wind and rain, and everything around him. He cantered by me then he stopped, and turned, and waited.
He looked at me and let me walk up to him easily and give him a kiss. It was so sweet of him! Through all this rain, he could have run home and got his dinner straight away, without a halter and he chose to stay with me, and get a halter on.
I have only had him since August.
I want your opinions. Do you think this is a sign of good partnership?
I think we sort of have the same personality. Cheeky yet "quiet and sensible" :D It works out, somehow.

She was treated badly in the past so it was bad I couldn't ride her. When her owner left for a vacation she let me take care of her. I rode my bike with my mum every day and bring carrots for Annie. Since then she got to know me even more. Sometimes when shes in the horse paddock she follows me around.
I love Horses So Much!!!

Yesterday, I was at my house and I have 10 horses. Well I have 2 that are WILD so I had a friend over and we rode in my woods and fields and roped the horses.
It was so fun! My horses jumps and so do my other horses, so we chased one into my woods and there was a HUGE log and buck he jumped over it!
It was really fun! And then I found out that there was some cows out, so I grabbed my rope and roped some and chased the others back in their pen and fixed the hole and then my horse tripped on something and fell with me on him but he was okay.
Well, that's my story...

I'm horse crazy because, ever since I was little I've wanted to ride horses. It was and is now my passion, but the only problem is I don't have a horse!
My mom says that when we find the right horse at the right price then she'll get me one. Until then I'll have to settle for taking lessons, which isn't a bad thing. I love my riding instructor, he's really cool!
My favorite horse to ride would probably be Moonpie. Moonpie is a chestnut Quarter horse mare. She is the best horse you could possibly ride! Someday I want a horse just like her.
The best thing about riding Moonpie is that she is mellow and alert at the same time! When I take her into a trot from a walk she follows me step by step and never gets ahead of herself. She really is why I'm horse crazy!

I started out with at least 13 and then my mom sold a lot of them and then we only had about 8 I had a favorite horse, her name was carrot she was my best friend in the whole wide world. When she got older we discovered that she had been deaf and that she was basically blind in her left eye.
One day when I was about 4 or 5 I went somewhere with my dad and my mom stayed home and when we got back there was a freshly dug up hole in the pasture and my mom was crying and said that carrot had fell down a slightly tilted hill in our pasture and could not get up so she had to call the vet to put her down.
From that day on I've always loved horses and whenever I see a horse I see my best and most truest friend carrot.

Me and sassy
Hi! My names Maddie. I have a black, 9 year old Missouri Fox Trotter named Sassy. I ride western and I wanted to do Barrel Racing for a while but I changed my mind and decided I wanted to ride English saddle.
For my birthday I will start riding lessons at a stable near my grandparents house. We talked to the instructor and she said that I will have to learn western saddle better before I learn to jump.
I am horsecrazy because horses are the most graceful, most powerful, amazing animals I have ever seen. I love them! I started liking them two years ago. I begged for a year for a horse and got sassy for my birthday. I will turn 12 this year and I got sassy on my 11th birthday. Her name describes her perfectly! No joke! But I still love her:)
I hope one day to have an appendix quarter horse to jump. Why? Because I like the quarter horse's ability to do anything plus their perfect turns and stops and I like the thoroughbred's speed and friskiness.
Well that's why I like horses. Ta ta ;)

I started horse riding when I was 7 on a riding school pony named Murphy. He was a small pony probably about 12hh which is small for me. I outgrew him fast so I moved onto a horse named Danny. He stood around 14.2hh so he was perfect.
I was 9 when I learned how to jump. Danny took care of me and saved me a couple of times. Also at the stables was a 13.2hh chestnut mare named Sandy.
On the 17th October early in the morning she fell in the field and fractured her leg. The vet came and said there was nothing that she could do so Sandy had to get put down. I loved her to pieces and I was going to loan her.
5 years later I am proud to own my very own horse. Her name is Libby and she is a connamera x Arab mare. Standing at 17.hh she is prettyyyy bigggg! I do love her though. She has built my confidence up and made me think that I can do anything if I put my mind up too it. I am really lucky that I have a horse. It took me years to convince my parents that it was a good idea.
To all those people still in need of a horsey buddy, please don't give up. You will get your horse just keep believing! My future plans for next year are to back a young horse who has just turned 3. And to win a couple of rosettes with my Libby. Dreams really do come true..<3

Before I start, I have loved horses all my life. I am 12 now and I have been riding since I was 6. Before I walked I loved horses. I have always and will always love horses forever and ever!
---------------------------
The car pulled to a stop. My 6 year old self pictured me galloping along on a stunning white Arabian as I ran toward the barn for my very first horse back riding lesson!
My teacher came out and told me I was riding a pony named mult. She went inside the barn and came out with a pinto colored pony. He was wearing tack and stared at me with big soft brown eyes. From that moment my life would change forever.
So, it's not a cliff hanger I'm gonna tell you more. I have ridden at three different barns. At my first barn where I had my first lesson I was pushed to do things I wasn't ready to do so I became afraid.
Then I came to my second barn which gave me my courage back but I was only walking, trotting, and cantering.
The third barn was where I learned a lot. There I learned to jump 2 feet 9 inches. I am doing all kinds of things there and getting better every time.
Now, sadly, one day coming home from school my mom looked at me with sad eyes and told me that mult had crossed the rainbow bridge.
It was heartbreaking but right there I thanked horses and my love of horses for bringing me so far. This has been an amazing journey and remember, NEVER STOP LOVING HORSES!!!!!

I have loved horses since I was 4 years old. But, I had to look at my sister ride western because at that barn you had to be 10 to ride. But, at the age 9 we switched to English, at that barn you could practically be any age.
So,we took lessons once a week. I started riding a horse named Patty, she liked to bite and was a slow poke. I rode her for a couple of lessons. Then I switched to a horse named Baby, she was very calm and slow.
After a month I started riding Icy, a calm but would do anything you asked. I fell in love with her absolutely in love. In 2 months "She has cancer the size of a soccer ball we have to put her down" my riding teacher told me. When I got home I cried the whole night. In the morning I thought it was best that she was put down. Next came Libby I had one of my worst falls on her. She was so hyper.
Once she took of I fell in front of her almost got totally trampled but she kept running. I had a big scratch on my side. Now i am riding a hose named Sky a beautiful white horse she likes to jump very high. I love her a lot! My sister is leasing a horse named Gus, I have not started leasing yet. But i am saving up my money to lease. So now I am watching her ride almost everyday. That is my riding story!

I have been riding on and off. I first started riding when I was 4. I could do a pretty good trot by then but the place I was riding at closed down.
Then I started riding again when I was 11 or 12. It was great fun but I felt like all they did was trot!!I had done canter and a small cross bar fence jump only once but my teacher said I was a natural! So I decided I would have to move on.... Again.
We booked up to go somewhere else. The day of my lesson came around and I was so excited but my mum got lost on the way there, so I could not go. But now Mum found out where the place was and she is booking me a lesson!!

There are many reasons why I'm horse crazy. One of them is that horses are nice. They don't hold a grudge, they don't care what you look like, they love to be groomed and get cookies and food. Another reason is that their fun. It's amazing to ride. When I ride I feel like I'm flying. Those are just some reasons why I am horse crazy.

I would love to have my own horse but we don't have the space, but no matter what i still love horses because there totally my favourite anamal!
Horses horses i totally wish i had my own also the saddle club makes me want one even more.
If i had my own horse i would like it to be brown all over with a brown main.I would probably call it coco because coco is brown and the horse is too.
I go to horse riding lessons but no very often because it is very expansive. Belive it or not my favourite t.v show is the saddle club guess why...because its to do with horses that i totally love!
Since i was little i loved horses and i still do believe it or not.If i was in the saddle club i would like to be lisa because she loves horses, she's nice, lisa is a good friend. Stevie and Carol are to though but i would rather be Lisa.

This is a wonderful training thing, I love it! It comes with DVDs and stuff to tell you what to do to train your horse. I wouldn't really say it is a book.
If you want to check it out here is the link where you can see what it is all about. :)

Horses are my life! I myself don't own a horse, but my friend owns a family-owned horse farm. So I ride all the time. :)
I ride western; very rarely will you see me riding English. I love to barrel race. Getting in the saddle is like a ...well like a new car you have this chill of excitement. I just love that.
The reason why I think (i know)I am horse crazy is that every second I am thinking of them. They're beautiful, majestic and mighty and just plain old (well) awesome!!! :)
My favorite breed of horse is a friesian. I like horses more than ponies so if I had to choose my favorite breed of pony it would be a fabella. But I love them all so much.

I started out riding at a local barn where my friends had gotten me to ride. I loved riding soo much! I have loved horses my whole life and had ridden a little bit when I was 7 but had to quit due to schedule issues. It felt nice to get back into the saddle again after like 5 years!
I started out riding this nice little Arab. He was very bumpy and lazy and a good learning horse at the walk and trot. I then eventually, after a couple quick rides on other horses later, moved to a quarab. He was very smooth and I had my first canter on him and my first jump:) The first time I cantered, I fell off. I went in a corner, lost my balance, and fell off (got right back on though!).
I eventually learned how to sit the canter and then moved onto jumping later once I got the canter down good. My first jump was amazing! I felt like I was flying when I went over it. It was a little crossrail on a little horse so it was an actual jump and not just a step. I made my dad come and watch along with my mom, I was so excited to be jumping!
I moved onto another horse who was a shorter appendix. She was a brat for me:). Only one of my friends was able to ride her well without her getting strong, for awhile, but I still loved the little mare. She was a good jumper and moved me along in my jumping a little bit up to 2ft.
Then, eventually I got tired of riding her and was able to choose, one day, who I wanted to ride. I chose an opinionated thoroughbred gelding. He was very tall but a very good jumper. I stayed relatively at the same height of jumping and went to my first show on him.
My first show was amazing! I did a dressage and jump combined which I got 3rd in and another dressage which I got 6th in and the last dressage I got 1st in! I was so proud and worn out. After that show though, I moved barns. My mom was upset with the barn and so we moved. The place I moved to had made my equitation a lot better and I learned how to jump higher and be one with the horse on a jump.
I had learned that she had this hanoverian x tb for sale at her place and told my dad about her. I was so happy because he said we would lease her to see how she does with me. I discovered that I was the only other person, besides my trainer, who this horse (named Gavrah) would tolerate. My dad finally decided to buy her and bought her for me.
After she was fully mine, I moved barns again (stayed at each of the barns only a year each) and I had learned so many things that were wrong with my horse. She was unbalanced beyond belief at the canter, she would pull me across the ring at the canter, she was scared of her own feet so her canter and jumping were very quick, and she overall didn't respect my authority.
Now at this barn that I am at (the one we moved to when we bought Gavrah) I have learned natural horsemanship with my horse, I am able to take her cross country jumping without worrying if I have brakes or not, her canter is much slower now although still not perfectly balanced, I am able to jump courses with her (not very high but it's a start), and she respects my authority. This horse has literally brought me from the top to rock bottom and back up. I can't thank my horse enough for the things she has taught me.
I have learned how to stay on since I used to fall off at least 6 times a month, I've learned how to keep a quiet hand and leg and seat, and overall I've learned that I can love and trust such a powerful creature that has many times brought me close being paralyzed and being in the hospital. I have many times been thankful I've never gone to the hospital for injuries. I've never broken a bone or gone to the hospital for riding accidents.
I've also learned how to teach a horse to trust you and not be spooked at everything. She has taught me more than any other horse could have taught me and many people have told us that we can't do it but we persevered every time. That is my horse story!

I don't know why but when i was two i fell in love with horses. It all started when we passed by a beautiful horse farm there were black, white, brown, chestnut, black and white and brown and white horses out there. But what really inspired me by these beautiful creatures were there strength and bravery plus there faith in humans.
One day we moved and bought a ranch down in Texas. That was so exciting! And the week after we moved in my mom bought me a horse, his name is Tucker. I named him that because he is brave and intelligent.
We got tucker from Texas. When I got home, I unloaded tucker from the trailer and put on his bridle saddle and saddlepad and took tucker for a ride he was really fast! I could feel the wind in my hair that was the best ride ever!
My mom bought more horses later on in life but Tucker is the best horse ever! Nobody could ever take his place because he is my first horse. Today, Tucker is 18 years old. We got him when he was 8 and wen I was five years old so today i am 15 years old.
Tucker and I have won lots of first place ribbons in show jumping, cross country, racing competitions and dressage competitions. He is a very special horse to me and that's why Tucker is so special. Right now at my stable my family has 15 horses and the boarded horses we have are 10 and we have 25 ranch hands, and live in a western log cabin.
Every summer we let our horses out the stable into the pastures so they can play and release the wild horse spirit. It's amazing to see these amazing animal run free forever more. 'm a plain horsecrazy girl and that's my horsecrazy story.

I got splash, a Fresian stallion, a couple years ago from when he was a little colt to a fine stallion.
It started when Splash's mother, poppy, was carrying a little foal. A couple months later she fell in labour, that's when the troubles start. hours later she did not have the strength to push and the foal was starting to stress out. The foal was breach and struggled.
We got a vet out to help and thankfully, the foal was out but neither mum and foal was breathing...
the vet finally made the foal to breath but turned out the mother could not make it. In the end, splash found a mother who miscarried and took him in.
Couple of years later splash grew HUGE!!
after that me and splash have been doing lots of shows,
I am so proud of him to pull through !!!
rest in peace poppy..........

Well, when I was 7 years old I got my first horse. I was riding daily until I fell off and got my head kicked. My dad thought I would never ride again so he sold him. I was crying every night, but did it while my dad couldn't see me. Then Christmas was on its way. I begged my dad for my horse back. We talked for a while but I never got a reply.
I gave up. But when Christmas came I had a great pair of stalls, my old horse back and a new saddle. That's not all, I even got everything that I needed to take care of him.
But one day he was acting weird. I really didn't think it was much. So I kept riding until he fell. I was afraid he was sick then realized how much I love him. That January night, I fell in love in pain.

When I was younger I rode my first horse. My dad's friend had a horse but now we don't know where she is. I automatically fell in love with them then I wasn't afraid to ride them at the fair when I was 9. I started doing 4-h, and one time we went to a banquet for 4-h awards and I didn't get one everyone else did. My leader felt bad so I got a free lesson and that's when it began.....

I love horse and if you have read my page My thoughts on horse slaughter, I appreciate the comment "Silly." I do too care about other animals also!
Anyways, you should know about me and Tiger who happens to be a 28 year old chestnut (just found out his coat color) which is Idaho raised. He loves me and I love him very much. Unfortunately I am his groom and not his owner.
Some things about Tiger: he doesn't like to get his mane braided (he knocked me around when I tried to braid his hair), doesn't like to get his head wet, and doesn't like to pick his hooves up except for the farrier. I got scared once when he was neighing lowly. I found out it meant he wants oats or to eat.

I have been riding horses since I was three. Now 13, I still avidly ride on 3 Arabians: Muffy, Moonshadow, and C-Star.
My first time riding was at my aunt Monica's house in Reno, Nevada. I rode one of her gentle quarter horses, and my parents continued to send me to riding lessons where my love for horses developed.
My other passions include drawing manga, singing in choir, and writing fantasy novels.
I ride as much as I can, which is a lot, at my cousin's house. They have miles of expansive trails, 2 arenas, a few paddocks/pastures, and a gorgeous barn. Oh! And their five horses...
MUFFY
is a sorrel Arabian mare, whom I typically ride. She is calm, but VERY stubborn.
C-STAR
is a chestnut Arabian mare, who has a white "c" shaped star on her forehead, giving her the name. I do not ride her much because she spooks a lot...but geez, she is very pretty.
MOONSHADOW
is Muffy's filly. She is a grown horse now, but still green-broke, which is why I also do not ride her much. She is a solid cherry bay Arabian as well.
TRIGGER & MISTY
are grey tobiano miniature ponies. They aren't very miniature though, even as their breed is American Miniature. Misty is feisty, while Trigger is slow and calm.
I currently ride hunt seat (which is a style of English.) My ultimate goal is to own my own horse. Which, in my dreams, is a very light grey Arabian. ;)

Hi all!! So I know everyone here loves horses, but this is why I am OBSESSED with them!
Well, I have always loved horses. I fell in love with their gracefulness, beauty, and they're amazing variety of personalities, shapes and sizes.
I don't have a horse, but I always wish I did. I draw horses pretty much EVERY day, and often imagine having my own horse and/or my own horse adventure.
If I were to have a horse, I'd love a Paint Horse mare with maybe a black tovero coat (not that I really mind) and I'd probably call her Starla. That would be my dream horse, but I love ALL horses/ponies, regardless of their colour, breed or skills. They are all worthy of falling in love with ;D
I am excited to FINALLY have an account on this website, and am looking forward to reading more on this website and looking at drawings/photos.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read why I AM TOTALLY HORSE OBSESSED!!!

I am horsecrazy because I read tons about horses, I used to pretend that my bike was a horse, when I was little I used to pretend I was either riding or being a horse at school and at home.
I draw pictures of horses regularly, I have about 30 horse pics saved on my computer, and whenever my teacher says to write a story I always write mine about horses. I have been begging my mom to buy me a horse since I was 3 years old and I am almost 11.
My riding instructor keeps telling me that I'm a great rider, and so do the people who watch me ride. In 2009, I got thrown from a horse and spent a week in Children's Hospital. But I still love horses. I encourage all girls (and boys) to be around horses!!! :)

Well about 5 days ago I found out my girl scout troop were going to a horse stable place. I wasn't that excited at first.
When we got there we were introduced to 2 ponies (Taco Belle and Ally). We learned how to groom them and wash them. Next was the hard part..... Cleaning POOP!:( It actually wasn't that bad.
Then finally, we learned about all the saddle things.
We had assigned ponies/horses to ride.
I got Vinnie. He was a tall white horse.
He is my favorite. Finally it was time to ride!!!
I swung my leg around Vinnie. But what I didn't know was that.......... The lady didn't hold the horses reins she just walked in front of me.... I CONTROLLED THE HORSE!
At first I was a little scared for Vinnie to move because I thought I would fall off. But I didn't.
It was really fun!!

It all started with my aunt's horse Dakota. He was an all black appaloosa and was beautiful. Ever since the moment I saw him it was always my dream to get my own horse one day! That started when I was six years old. Now I'm 14 and lived that dream! His name is Noble and guess what...he looks just like Dakota!
LOL...I started working at a horse rescue with all the other horses when one day a lady came out to the ranch who was a horse whisper. She looked at me with Noble and asked if she could watch me lunge him. I said yes and it went on from there.
After I was done she looked at me and said "You have the gift!!! That's very rare!!!" I didn't know what she was talking about because I didn't know she was a whisperer until later but she explained how I could communicate with them on a different level than most people. I was very flattered and she asked if she could train me for free!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it my dream was coming true !! Ever since then I've had a connection with every horse I meet and one day want to be a trainer!

I am 100% horsecrazy. I love my pony Bella although she can be cheeky and sometimes frets to bite me when I'm doing up her girth. She is still really gentle and you can help loving her.
She is very beautiful and is the best pony in the world to me. She is so kind-natured and so nice you can sit on her back while she's in the stall, she's that awesome!!!!
Bella's full name is greenlee Arabella. Bella is a 12 hh welsh mountain pony. Bella was owned by my riding instructor before me and once they went to a show so my dad took me and my friend to see not only Bella but also the other horses at the riding school - Pepper and Bonny.
At the show Bella was not on til later so we just watched pepper and bonny they were in quite a lot of classes.
When Bella competed, she was in the jumping class. The jumps were huge especially the biggest one it looked about a meter high!! She had a few faults but never mind she was only 12 hh so she was brilliant!

My horse cinnamon girl is a strawberry roan quarter horse mare and is the best! I met cinnamon at a camp, where they put me on her and we fell in love!
Cinnamon really trusted me, and we loved each other. She was for sale so my mom surprised me and bought her!:) The barn she had been at had mistreated her and overworked her so that made her a little afraid of people.
She was a jumper who had won champion in world 2 years in a row!! Since I am a hunter jumper, cinnamon and I jump in shows and win a lot! She is the best horse ever!!!!
I ride at the best stable ever!
I also want to say that one person who started my horse obsession was my bff from kindergarten. :)

I began with horses at the age of four years old
I must add that my first encounter with a horse wasn't a good one. However, when I over came that and found reason in why the bad encounter happened that's when my crazy love for horses began to grow and grow and until today my love has never wavered.
Through my years I found that horses teach us that frankly what I believe is that much of our society lacks, Heart, Mind and Soul. The most enlightening and wonderful study I ever done was about the horse. I yet still study the horse. It just never ends. Horses have a spiritual reasoning about them that I just can find anywhere else.
When I first began learning natural horsemanship, I spent a great deal of time listening and watching and asking questions. I really still do. though through my years I have had to struggle as far as money thus for I know I am not alone, but however God has blessed me through my years to work with many horses. and this is how I began learning about horses, I would read, listen.
I ask questions, sit for hours watching horses in pastures and most of all I did nothing I didn't feel sure of what I was doing. Horses love clarity, as I do myself. Horses are very simple I found in my years and in my findings I found I had to not complicate my thinking to help the horse understand what I wanted from them.
This site is the most wonderful site I have found for just plain horse crazy girls a perfect place for girls to help each other become the best they can be in life and horsemanship.

We have competed in a national Cross Country comp and at the local show. His name is Boby but his show name is Pure Chance(just like the book.) I love him with my entire heart and we sometimes go riding in the bush and he loves it!
I haven't been thrown off yet but I know I am overdue. I wouldn't give Boby up for anything, and that is what being horse crazy is all about.

Hey guys! I'm Cici!
I started out riding when we moved to Colorado when I was 6. I took western lesson. I had to stop when I turned seven however, because we just sorta grew away from it as a family.
Two years ago we moved from Colorado and I started volunteering at a barn where I am a riding camp counselor, pony ride giver, and trail backup guide. I get to have free lessons at the end of every year. I just started those up again this year. I'm also allowed to ride whenever there isn't anything going on at the barn. Here I learned how to ride English!!!
I can't jump or anything, yet. But I'm working on my two point and everything. I'm fine at W/T/C and level 1 dressage. So hopefully I can start soon!
Right now I'm trying to convince my parent to buy/lease me a horse! I'm more than ready for one, so I sure hope it works!
