He is definitely a gorilla because I ride a gorilla horse. And though he's a little darker, he looks just like that.

A bay horse with white hairs ticked through the body is red roan. A chestnut or sorrel with white hairs ticked through the body is strawberry roan.
The horse in the picture looks buckskin to me. Dun would have a black or dark brown stripe from mane to tail down the back. Buckskin can be a dun but does not have to be dun, as I have had several buckskin mares with no dun stripe. Grulla usually is smoky color with black face, legs, mane and tail. The horse in the pic does not have a black face so it is not grulla.

Katie: He's not my horse. Anyways, I can't ride him yet and my Mom stopped taking me to visit him. (But i might go this month and I'll take more pics of him!) I can't ride him because he's a loaned horse from someone to the friend i was talking about, and the guy who owned him was a bit old and didn't ride him. But I do know how to ride and am hopefully going riding by the end of this year.

Yes, it could be a strawberry roan (which is sometimes used as another name for bay roan or chestnut roan). If he has the little white speckles he can be a strawberry roan.

I'm not great with colors but I find them fascinating, so I'll give it a shot :-) I'm not an expert though - a professional would be better able to answer your question.
He could be bay, bay roan or dun. If his body is solid brown, with black points (mane, tail, legs, nostrils) he would be bay. If he was bay, but with lots of little white hairs, he would be bay roan. On the other hand if his coat is as light as I think it is - a sort of golden tan - without any white hairs, and possibly a black or dark brown stripe down his back (a dorsal stripe), he would be dun. Hard to see from the picture which one it is, but he's gorgeous!

I Do agree it could be Dun But there is a possible chance that he is buckskin although he isn't quite as light as a buckskin but it depends, I would go with either one.

he is a dun i think. 100% not a strawberry roan anyway and he doesn't really look like a buckskin either.. but you could try getting another photo up closer.
