I don't know much about fencing, But I know you definitely shouldn't use barbed wire fence. Sorry this probably won't be any help as you should know that. Good Luck!

It's strong and keeps from snapping but it's sorta expensive but worth the money. Another choice is hot wire but that can get expensive because you need to pay electric bills.

Use Metal fences, i know that my riding instructor does when it comes to keeping her horses in the pasture but yeah that is what i suggest.
