Fab horse books... by: jk442
You have GOT to read 'the one dollar horse' if you haven't already, the 'pony club secrets' and 'pony club rivals' are good, but most of them are kind f one-time reads. Sometimes I really like a 'Sheltie' book if I can't get to sleep ;D xx Definitely 'War Horse' WARNING! Don't read if your not in for a good cry! Maybe 'The Horse Whisperer' but it's less of the horses, more of the people... And awkward at times... *_* 'Jinnny at Finnmory' is really well-written. "The Pony Whisperer' is a good read, too. Other non-horse books (I know it sounds crazy!) Are "The Hunger Games' fab! And 'Divergent' and 'Insurgent' if your in for a bit of intimacy... \: They're pretty much all the ones i can think of right now! xxx :)

Horse books by: Unicorn
I enjoyed the Pullein-Thompson sisters' writings, especially Diana Pullein-Thompson's stories. "The Pullein-Thompson Treasury" is an awesome collection of short stories. Plus Mary O'Hara's classic "My Friend Flicka", "Green Grass of Wyoming" and "Thunderhead" books are very well written and hugely enjoyable. "Black Beauty" is the horse book to end all horse books and still heart-wrenchingly beautiful for all it's sorrow. And though this one is not strictly about horses, the short story collection "A Glory of Unicorns" compiled by Bruce Coville absolutely stole my heart. "The New Girl", a short story by Sean Stewart (from "A Glory of Unicorns") about a girl and a unicorn and love and freedom, is truly the most wonderful short story I have ever read. All your authors out there, you can learn a lot from "A New Girl" - I learn more every time I read it! "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle is not an easy read, but if you're looking for the sort of prose that dances in your mind like stars on water, "The Last Unicorn" is the book for you - a glorious fairytale. Good luck and happy reading!

Books! by: Mollie
I love these series! Canterwood Crest, Pony Club Rivals, Horse Mad, The A Circuit, Pony Club Secrets, Half Moon Ranch, Wildwood Stables, Wild Horse Creek, Timber Ridge Riders. These aren't series but really good horse books! A Horse of Her Own, The Outside of a Horse, The First Horse I See, The Most horrible Pony, Stealing A Girl, Winning Bet, A Horse to Remember. Then here's some authors that write great horse books that you should look up! Chris Platt, Alyssa Brugman, Marilyn D. Anderson. If I think of any more I'll comment again!
