I am kinda in your shoes my mom and dad won't let me have my own horse because moneys to tight and they think i will never be able to go anywhere with my own horse if i ever do get a horse i will get a way to state champs.
you think it's really bad now but when you get your own horse all of that will pay off.

I really know how you feel. Parents would get you a horse if they could, but they don't have enough money, and when you save up money, they say it isn't enough, and basically no one would give a job to an eleven year old. (I'm not trying to put you down, this is just how I feel,:)) Finally, my chance came when my dad told me I could lease a horse if it was reasonable. ($50-100 a month) I looked on craigslist, and I found the perfect horse within my budget. Another great way to find a lease horse is to ask your riding coach. (I'm assuming you still take lessons) I hope this helps!

I know how much you want a horse. I began riding in 2007 and have wanted one since. But, I was a beginner then too, and I am glad I waited a little longer before seriously considering horse ownership. I do not have a horse yet, and probably won't for a long time, but here's something to think about.
First of all, do you have the experience to own a horse? If you're a beginner, you should wait until you have the experience required. A horse is not a toy or a bike you can get rid of when you don't want to care for it. A horse is a lot of work. Do you have the commitment to get up every day at 5 or 6 in the morning and muck out, groom, and feed supplements and grain? Do you have the time to ride everyday, or lunge? Are you willing to visit the horse twice a day, even though he may be boarded? When you are on vacation, who will exercise the horse? Do you have enough money for vet bills, farrier, emergency bills, board, feed, tack, and repairs? You want the horse to have a comfy life, and you need money to care for it. Do you know how to walk, trot, canter - the basics? Have you been taking at least a year of lessons, and have a knowledgeable horseman to help you with any difficulties? Make sure to do a lot of studying about horses to make sure you'd do the job right. Also, show your parents you are responsible. Do your homework without being asked, take on extra chores, and care for your pets. Make responsible decisions.
I'm not trying to hound you, just to make you think about horse ownership. ;) If you can't own a horse, you can take lessons, lease an appropriate pony, or help out a friend with hers. :) All in all, whatever conclusion you come to should be best for all involved. I'll be praying you get your horse!!!

you sound like what I did before I got Bella, maybe you should get some more riding lessons just so your ready for your pony and when you know what pony you want maybe the owner would let you on a week trial of owning the pony.

I understand how you feel.... I feel the same way.
But soon I will have enough to foster a horse!
But there are many times when there were free horses, and 100 horses, and stuff around, but I never could make myself ask the owners.
Why?
Well now I have found out that I needed to read horse care.
Best ways to learn is by getting on the library and ordering as many horse care books as possible.
Then get money, and then buy the stuff.
P.S: Always get a older horse from 10 up. Never get a young horse.
And if you are a beginner rider, I would wait a little longer before getting a horse.
Be patient. You will get one in your life!
I mean I want one really bad, and I haven't ridden in 2 years! You are lucky!
