facts for you by: kenolover316
oh hi luv your story, i think its cool cause thats how i was when i started rideing i now hav my own horse and here are sum tips 1:dont feed your horse treats by hand too much, they will expect treats every time. which is too bad for me cause im an old softie and i just love to spoil my horse. 2: once you hav ur own horse its fun to take care of them. like before i just luved riding but now i luv everything, including taking him for walks after i ride even if i dont need too. 3NEVER walk behin a horse unless u hav to because they might kick and if you do hav to, put a hand on his rump so he knows you r there. 4 when combing a horses mane or tail, always start from the bottom instead of just yankin down from the top. that way you get them out slowly. when your doin the tai, do just one section of hair at a time. 5 dont let your horse drink as much as he wants after a strenuous workout, let him hav a little at a time while u cool him out. if a horse drinks a lot when hes hot, he cood get sick.

Don't change his feed instantly or he might get colic! Instead, gradually increase it or decrease it.
put a sweat sheet under his winter rug so you don't have to keep on washing the winter rug.
visit him regularly and spend a while grooming him and observing him closely. you might lean something and it will help you to know your horse!
Hoped this helped, Anneka
